Split PDF Online

Split one PDF into several smaller files. Choose custom page ranges, or turn every page into its own PDF.

Add a PDF to split

or drag and drop a file here

Accepts a single PDF file. Password-protected PDFs must be decrypted first. When a split produces more than 5 files, they are delivered as one ZIP.

How to split a PDF

  1. Add a PDF with Choose file or drag and drop.
  2. Pick a mode: Split by page ranges (e.g. “1-3, 4-10” creates two files) or Every page as a separate PDF.
  3. Click Split PDF.
  4. Download each part, or the ZIP if there are many parts.

Supported files and limitations

  • One PDF at a time. Ranges use 1-based page numbers.
  • Encrypted PDFs are rejected with a message rather than producing broken output.
  • Splitting a 500-page document into single pages creates 500 files — this works, but packaging the ZIP can take a while on slower devices.

Common problems

  • “…is not a valid range” — check that the numbers exist in the document and the start is not greater than the end.
  • Download blocked — some browsers ask for permission when a page saves multiple files. Allow downloads for this site, or use range mode to get fewer files.

What happens to your files?

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is opened in your device's memory, processed there, and the result is saved back to your device. The document is never uploaded to a server. You can confirm this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and process a file — no request contains your document. Closing the tab discards everything. See how local processing works.
